Fietsen Defresne / BV Fietsen Delobelle

In the center of Avelgem, you will find Fietsen Defresne at our well-known corner. The store is known for its beautiful range of high-quality bicycles, expert knowledge, and outstanding service. Fietsen Defresne was founded in 1984 by Ben Defresne at the ‘red lights’ in Avelgem. Over the years, the store grew into the spacious business it is today. Since 2015, Guillaume Delobelle started helping as a student worker and joined the team permanently in 2018. After a healthy combination of practical experience, higher education (HoGent), and a professional bicycle mechanic course (KISP Gent), he took over the business in 2022. The passion for cycling and sports came from swimming competitively from a young age and starting triathlon at the age of 16. Many kilometers on different bikes later, we know exactly what high standards a top bike must meet, and we are happy to help you further with our gained experience. The intensive collaboration with Ben Defresne brought the necessary professional knowledge and the tricks of the trade, while the theoretical basis was there due to the education in Legal Practice and the postgraduate degree in Applied Taxation. This preliminary education later proved to be very suitable for helping customers with all possible information about bike leasing and bike solutions for self-employed individuals. Together with the young force Kobe Callebert (electro-mechanic and trained bike repairer) and the experienced Ben Defresne, Fietsen Defresne stands firmly in the future. At Fietsen Defresne, your bike is in good hands, that’s a promise!
